Happy New Year 2009

Hope everyone has a great new year. We all really need one.
These pics are of Niki and Sheri on their way to the New Year's Eve party in Liberty. I made Niki's tube top in the morning and then went to the thrift store to find something for Sheri that I could do really quick, fabric in a formal or something. We found a dress, black, size 14 with sequins at the bust and little straps. It's crepe material. Then we found a jacket, size large, plaid with gold sparkles and fringe on the bottom and silver buttons. I cut the dress off to make a long top and took it in alot and shortened the straps. The jacket was way too big, so I took it in on the sides and cut it off to make a 1/2 jacket, cut off the sleeves to make 3/4 sleeves with a cuff and changed the buttons to black crocheted ones. She also got a cute pair of black patenleather shoes with a cork wedge. It all cost 7.00 and she looked like a million. They both looked great and had alot of fun dancing with all the boys in the stake.

The last pics are of Sheri learning to sew. She loves her new machine and is making the jumper in the pic. The top is brown swirlly material and the bottom is aqua with brown polka dots. It has a brown underskirt and brown leggings. I'll put on a pic when she gets it finished. Come on Kenzie and Cari, you can start sewing, too. I start when I was 10 years old. You'll love it and your Mom can teach you. Let us all see what you're making.

Love you all, MOM.

Christmas advent calendar

Hi Everyone, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Better late than never.

Sorry it's been so..... long since I put anything on the blog. We've all been really busy. Maybe everything will even out a little now. The thing we're most excited about is our brand new son-in-law, Blair. We all really love him and we're so happy for our Danners. Here are a few of her wedding pics.

The next pics are some of the winter shots I have of our beautiful Missouri. These were taken on our place, humble as it may be, we love it.

The last pics are of the advent calendar that Heidi was the inspiration for. She's so talented and creative. This isn't as cute as hers, but it turned out O.K. I'm looking for some cute things to put in each little matchbox, if anyone has ideas.Love you all tons and tons. MOM
